How to compare journal metrics
SJR/SCImago 2025 is the common reference. Each row shows the quartile, system, data year and SJR score. The displayed quartile is the journal’s best subject-category quartile; expand the row to see all categories. Q1 is the top quarter within a category, then Q2, Q3 and Q4. A journal’s HCI quartile may differ from its best quartile.
SJR is not a Journal Impact Factor (JIF). JCR and CiteScore use different indicators and category rankings; their values are not substituted for SJR. Earlier mixed publisher indicators are not used for this comparison. Quartile sorting uses Q1–Q4, then descending SJR, with unavailable data last; different systems or years, if present, stay in separate groups.
Direct SCImago profile access was unavailable during the check. The linked secondary reproductions of the 2025 dataset were cross-checked; provenance and verification dates are in each row. Missing values are marked unavailable, never estimated. Missing data does not imply a journal is unindexed. Metrics describe journals, not the quality of individual papers; topical fit still matters.
Regular journals generally accept submissions throughout the year; conference-linked tracks such as PACM HCI follow their own calls.
